Seit 1985 begeistert der gebürtige St. Pöltner die Nachtschwärmer in den Clubs und Diskotheken Österreichs. Viele Jahre lang war er Resident in der legendären Diskothek U4 in Wien, seit Jahren ist er als Guest-DJ auf der MTV-Bühne am Wiener Donauinselfest im Einsatz und er legte gemeinsam mit den ganz Großen der Szene auf: Von Boy George über Bob Sinclar, von David Morales bis zu Mousse T., von Roger Sanchez bis David Guetta.

Bei seinen DJ-Sets spielt OLiVarez hauptsächlich eine Mischung dreier Stilvarianten von Vocal über Progressive bis hin zu Pumping House. Oft schneidet und mixt er sich eigene Bootlegs zusammen, um einen einzigartigen Sound in seinen Sets präsentieren zu können. Seine Vorbilder sind allen voran Steve Angello, Axwell und Sebastian Ingrosso von der Swedish House Mafia, Roger Sanchez, Pete Tong und Erick Morillo. Die Inspiration zu den mitreißenden Sets kommt von internationalen DJ-Websites, Radio-Shows und durch enge Kontakte nach Spanien sowie zur französischen House-Metropole Paris.

Seine DJ-Karriere hat OLiVarez trotz intensiver Hauptbeschäftigungen vorangetrieben: Oliver Ginner, so heißt OLiVarez im richtigen Namen, jobbt erfolgreich als Grafiker, Illustrator, Karikaturist, Maler und digitaler Bildbearbeiter in der Medienbranche, „oft mehr als 50 Stunden die Woche“, so der einstige STARGATE-DJ. In seinem Dayjob ist er Grafiker bei einer großen österreichischen Tageszeitung, bei der er Storys bebildert und illustriert. Zudem designt er Magazine, Folder, Kunstbücher und Werbesujets für nationale und internationale Unternehmen wie Raiffeisen, Lavazza, Siemens und andere. Zum Produzieren bleibt da wenig Zeit, aber das wird sich bald ändern – sehr sehr bald!

Since 1985 the St. Pölten born disk jockey thrills revellers in the clubs and discotheques around all of Austria. For many years he was resident DJ in the legendary U4 disco in Vienna, since many years he is a guest-DJ on the MTV- and VIVA-stages at the Donauinselfest (Europes largest open air event) and he spins the discs with the big names of the scene: Boy George, Bob Sinclair, David Morales, Mousse T., Roger Sanchez and David Guetta.

In his sets DJ OLiVarez mainly plays a mix of four house styles from vocal and latin to progressive and electro. Role models are Steve Angello, Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso from the Swedish House Mafia, Roger Sanchez, Pete Tong and Erick Morillo. His inspoiration to his electrifying sets comes from international DJ-websites, radio shows and through tight connections to the French house capital Paris.

OLivarez pushes on his DJ carreer in spite of his various intensive dayjobs. Oliver Ginner – OLiVarez daytime name – jobs as an successful graphic artist, illustrator, caricaturist, painter and digital picture processor in Austrias media. “I often work more than 50 hours per week”, says the STARGATE-DJ. His main job is graphic artist with a large Austrian daily Newspaper. There he illustrates the big topics of the day. Also he designs magazines, art books, folders and advertisements for national and international companies like the Raiffeisen bank, Lavazza coffee, Siemens and many more. At the moment he has little time to produce his own tracks but that could change in the middle of this year!
